One of our mamas, Courtney, reached out to share her journey through recurrent loss and the long road to holding her sweet boy, Leo. Her story is a powerful reminder that fear and hope can sit in the exact same room ❤️


“When we lost our first pregnancy at 11 weeks, the world kept moving, but everything in my life went silent. A few months later, we experienced a second early loss. I felt like my body was failing me, and the nursery we had started dreaming about became a doorway I couldn't even look through.

When two pink lines appeared for the third time, I didn’t feel that instant rush of pure excitement; I felt terrified. Every milestone felt like holding my breath. Every doctor’s appointment came with trembling hands in the waiting room. Pregnancy after loss is an emotional rollercoaster where joy and grief constantly collide. You desperately want to bond, but your heart tries to protect itself from another heartbreak.

Week 20 passed. Then week 30. Slowly, with every kick, hope began to take up more space than fear.

When Leo was placed on my chest at 38 weeks, hearing his first cry felt like exhaling a breath I had been holding for two years.

Looking at him now, sleeping in his rainbow onesie, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. Leo didn’t erase the heartbreak of the babies we never got to hold, but he brought light back into our world. To any mama currently in the quiet, fearful waiting room: your grief is valid, your hope is strong, and you are never alone.”
